Demo projects

Purpose

A demo project is a learning workspace. Same admin UI as production, but research and spend paths are constrained so you cannot accidentally buy domains or burn paid keyword credits.

Choice of Demo vs Production at create time is permanent. Demo cannot be converted to production.

What is simulated / seeded

• Competitors, keywords, and trends come from a seed pack adapted to your niche (illustrative numbers).
• Discovery actions reroute to the demo seed path.
• Domain “registration” reserves free placeholder hosts instead of paying a registrar.

What is real

• The UI, wizards, and progress views are the real product.
• Free hosting can provision a live placeholder URL so you can click through.
• LLM adaptation of seed text may still run (environment-dependent) but paid third-party research APIs are not used for demo discovery.

Limits

• Up to 2 demo projects per organization.
• Demo satellites do not count toward plan satellite pools.
• Banner on demo pages reminds you: data is illustrative, not for budget decisions.
