Projects & locales

One project equals one market — locale drives language, country, and currency.

What a project is

A project is your workspace for one main site in one market: research data, domain pool, campaigns, and satellites all hang off that project.

URL-first setup

  1. Choose Production or Demo (permanent).
  2. Paste the main site URL and run Analyze — crawl + profile suggestions for niche, audience, and topics.
  3. Set name, locale, and monetization type.
  4. Edit AI-proposed fields as needed, then create.

Production projects can kick off competitor and trend research automatically. Demo projects seed illustrative data instead.

Locale rules

locale (e.g. en-US, de-DE, es-US) is the source of truth:

  • Language and country for keyword research
  • Measurement system and currency for content
  • Separate keyword universes even when the country code matches (English US ≠ Spanish US)

Never mix multiple languages or countries in one project. Need another market? Create another project.

Day-to-day

  • Switch projects from the top-bar picker.
  • Edit settings anytime; changes apply on the next research run.
  • Delete removes the project and its child data (with best-effort cleanup of demo hosts).
